Freedom Lodge Policies


The booking age requirement for the Lodge is 30 years of age. Valid ID may be required upon check-in. We do not rent our facilities for after-prom, high school graduation parties, college formal parties, bachelor/bachelorette and fraternity or sorority parties. All events are subject to approval by owners/management prior to confirmation of a reservation. We do not allow ANY visitors without management approval. Only registered guests for your stay will be given access to the property. Others will be turned away. No exceptions. Failure to accurately provide your guest count will result in termination of your stay.

Travel Insurance

As of April 2020, the travel industry changed due to Covid-19. We encourage you to purchase trip insurance in this time of uncertainty as another way to cover yourself as a traveler if you want additional coverage outside of our cancellation policies. Per our cancellation policy, refunds for communicable diseases or viruses are only offered if there is a full travel ban in place. We encourage you to purchase trip insurance through this third-party vendor to cover your trip for ANY REASON (weather, illness, etc) you need to cancel – https://www.squaremouth.com/ – please call our office for more information.

Security Deposit

In addition to the rental fees, a $2000.00 security deposit is required for all reservations. This is due in the form of cashier’s check, money order or cash.

Note: We require the security deposit 30 days prior to your check in date. Deposits are usually refunded back within 5-7 business days after your departure. The security deposit will be conditionally but HAPPILY REFUNDED pending we receive the Lodge back in the same condition in which it was given to you.

Rates & Bookings

The nightly rate is based off 14 guests – additional guests up to 26 are an additional $75.00 per guest. Failure to accurately provide your guest count will result in termination of your stay or $100 per person per night rental rate if the head count does not match your guests list total.

The nightly rates does not include Hocking County Lodging Tax of 6%, Ohio Sales Tax of 7.25%, or HockingHills.com service fee of 6%. All will be applied at the time of booking.

*Reservations that create one-night openings during our in-season, will not be accepted unless approved by management. *Our reservation system may not quote a discounted price – We will honor all discounts and apply them before charging your credit card, please call our office to confirm discounted pricing.


Advance payment of at least 50% of your stay is required at the time of reservation. Any balance including the security deposit is due no less than 30 days prior to your stay. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted. Personal check,  bank checks, or cash are the only form of payment accepted for the security deposit. 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations of 61 days or greater of check in may receive their payment refunded less processing fees. Cancellations 60 days or less of check-in date will not receive a refund; however, money will be held for 6 months to put towards another stay with us. In the event of an early departure for any reason, we cannot give any kind of refund. Changes to the arrival or departure dates are subject to our cancellation policy and/or a $125 change fee. Lessor may cancel this reservation at any time by returning your prepaid amount.


Check-In is between 4:00PM – 6:00PM 

You (Lessee) will be greeted by a Turkey Ridge representative and asked to do a through inspection upon arrival.


Check-Out is between 10:00AM - 11:00AM.

You the (Lessee) will be required to do Check Out Walk Through Inspection with a Turkey Ridge Lodge Representative. 


We reserve the right to charge your credit card for any damages or excessive cleaning from your stay if your security deposit does not cover the cost.  If you notice any problems upon checking in, please let us know right away.
